Hey, I'm Alexa. I had the pleasure of being invited to tour this art collection as a spectator.
And this work of art made an immediate connection with me.
When I look at this painting, I can't help but think about what my walk with God has been like: full of unexpected curves, intense colors, and contrasts that I didn't always understand at the time. The wavy lines remind me that the path hasn't been straight, but it has been guided by a hand greater than my own. From my cancer diagnosis to my remission, and more recently with my ADHD diagnosis, I've learned that life doesn't always follow a linear plan. Yet, in the midst of it all, I continue to grow, I remain strong, and above all, I continue to trust.
And although I often wanted to impose my will, it was in moments of surrender—like Jesus in Gethsemane—that I found true peace. This work is a visual reflection of my faith: chaotic, alive, but ultimately surrendered. Not as I want, but as He wants.

Hola, soy Alexa. Tuve el placer de ser invitada a recorrer esta colección de arte como espectadora.
Y esta obra de arte hizo una conexión inmediata conmigo.
Cuando veo esta pintura, no puedo evitar pensar en cómo ha sido mi caminar con Dios: lleno de curvas inesperadas, colores intensos y contrastes que no siempre comprendí en el momento. El trazo ondulado me recuerda que el camino no ha sido recto, pero sí guiado por una mano más grande que la mía. Desde mi diagnóstico de cáncer hasta mi remisión, y más recientemente con el diagnóstico de TDAH, he aprendido que la vida no siempre sigue un plan lineal. Aun así, en medio de todo, sigo creciendo, sigo siendo fuerte y, sobre todo, sigo confiando.
Y aunque muchas veces quise imponer mi voluntad, fue en los momentos de rendición —como Jesús en Getsemaní— donde encontré paz verdadera. Esta obra es un reflejo visual de mi fe: caótica, viva, pero finalmente entregada. No como yo quiera, sino como Él quiera.
