Everything is going to be ok, Amen

I prepared myself to paint without thinking, and ended up explaining difficult emotions. I looked at the canvas and didn't understand anything.
Not all art seeks to be understood immediately. In this work, as an artist, I want you to stop and observe, to identify with the messy brushstrokes and feel that discomfort that leads you to ask yourself good questions. To experience that moment of silence and contemplation that can be a tool for reconnecting.
The work conveys the idea that, in times when everything may be very abstract and seemingly meaningless, we only have the capacity to see part of it, but there is One who can see beyond what is apparent. Even if it takes time to grasp the whole picture, God already sees the complete composition, and everything is working together for a greater good.
I didn't understand anything, at least at first: smudges, aimless strokes, nuances that crossed like thoughts in my head. Everything dissolved any attempt at logic, but offered a safe space for me to find meaning.
And then I saw it: Everything will be okay. Amen.
It's not an empty promise, nor a naive or escapist phrase. This abstract work becomes another way of expressing God's sovereignty, an anchor. In essence, it's a way of saying: God, I trust You, and I agree that You are in control.

Me preparé para pintar sin pensar, y terminé explicando emociones difíciles. Miré el lienzo y no entendía nada.
No todo arte busca ser entendido de inmediato. En esta obra, como artista, busco que te detengas a observar, que te identifiques con las pinceladas desordenadas y sientas esa incomodidad que te lleva a hacerte buenas preguntas. Que experimentes ese momento de silencio y contemplación que puede ser una herramienta para reconectarte.
La obra deja a la vista la idea de que, en los momentos en los que todo puede ser muy abstracto y parecer sin sentido, nosotros solo tenemos la capacidad de ver una parte, pero hay Quien puede ver más allá de lo aparente . Aunque lleve tiempo comprender toda la imagen, Dios ya ve la composición completa y todo está cooperando para un bien mayor.
No entendía nada, al menos al principio: manchas, trazos sin dirección, matices que se cruzaban como pensamientos en mi cabeza. Todo disolvía cualquier intento de lógica, pero ofrecía un espacio seguro para que encontrara su significado.
Y entonces lo vi: Todo va a estar bien. Amén.
No es una promesa vacía, ni una frase ingenua o escapista. Esta obra abstracta se convierte en otra forma de expresar la soberanía de Dios, en un ancla. En esencia, es una forma de decir: Dios, confío en ti, y estoy de acuerdo en que tú estás en control.
